Hetan Ashar

Hetan Ashar is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in commercial real estate financing. Since December 2019, Hetan has served as Director and India Head of Commercial Real Estate Financing at Citi. Prior to this role, Hetan worked at Deutsche Bank AG from March 2012 to December 2019, initially as Vice President focusing on structured finance in India's real estate sector and later as Director on the Structured Finance Desk, achieving significant transaction closures valued at approximately $800 million. Hetan's career also includes a position as Vice President of Investment Banking at Pioneer Investcorp from August 2010 to March 2012, where the focus was on syndicating debt and equity for the real estate sector and related industries. Earlier experience includes serving as Senior Manager at IL&FS Financial Services from December 2007 to July 2010, advising clients across various industries on capital syndication. Hetan holds a Chartered Accountancy degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mumbai.
