Nishchint Baijal

Nishchint Baijal serves as the Global Head of Independent Risk Quality Assurance for Wholesale Credit at Citi, having joined in April 2018. In this role, Nish is responsible for devising and implementing the QA strategy for Wholesale Credit Risk underwriting, managing a team of over 20 professionals worldwide. Prior to this, Nish held various senior positions, including Senior Vice President of Wholesale Credit Review for EMEA and Vice President of Audit Manager for Wholesale Credit Risk in APAC, delivering high-quality audit reports and assurance to senior management and regulators. Earlier experience includes serving as Vice President of Credit Risk Review at DBS Bank and Senior Relationship Manager for the Institutional Banking Group. Nishchint began a career at Standard Chartered Bank in risk management and credit analysis. Nish holds an MBA in Finance from the Faculty of Management Studies at the University of Delhi and a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from Shri Ram College of Commerce.
