Rupert Simpson

Rupert Simpson is an experienced professional in regulatory strategy and policy, currently serving as a Director at Citi since October 2021, where responsibilities include developing and executing engagement strategies with regional regulators. Prior to this role, Rupert spent eight years at PwC as a Senior Manager, Manager, and Senior Associate, focusing on risk management and regulatory matters. Earlier experience includes roles at the Financial Ombudsman Service as an External Liaison and Adjudicator, where Rupert specialized in financial complaint resolutions. Additional contributions to human rights initiatives included pro bono work with the International Bar Association and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. Rupert holds a BA (Hons) in Modern European Languages from UCL and completed the Bar Vocational Course at BPP Law School, supplemented by scholarships for studies in Political Science and French Language in Spain and France.
