Varun Matta

Varun Matta is a seasoned professional in investment banking and M&A, with extensive experience across various sectors, particularly in Telecoms, Media, and Technology. Varun began a career in investment banking at DBS Bank and advanced through roles at Macquarie and Credit Suisse, culminating in a director position focused on South East Asia. Varun held leadership roles at CIMB as Managing Director and Head of Telecoms, Media & Technology, as well as Mergers & Acquisitions. Currently, Varun serves as Managing Director and Head of Technology, Media & Telecom at Citi, overseeing operations in the ASEAN region. Varun holds dual Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
