Ben Maisano

Ben Maisano is an advisor at Citizen Health. Prior to their current position, they were the CTO & Head of Engineering at Mount Sinai Health System, where they oversaw the construction of new digital experiences for patients, their families, and care teams.

Maisano has extensive experience in product engineering and cloud strategy. Ben has partnered with population health, clinical, and operations teams to build and manage applications, integrating deeply with core systems such as Epic and MyChart. Ben also led the construction of a live chat & video virtual care platform with conversational bot UX that leverages NLU, advanced triage and routing, and deep clinical system integrations to orchestration the care journey and connect patients to the appropriate care navigator or clinician.

In their role at Mount Sinai, Maisano also worked with the CIO on overall Cloud Strategy and technical execution and DevOps of that transformation for scaling AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud across the enterprise.

Ben Maisano has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Management and Information Systems from the University of Connecticut. Ben also has a Masters in Computer Science, specializing in Software Engineering - Enterprise and Web IT Architecture / Security from the University of Fairfield.
