Emilia Fuentes

Emilia Fuentes has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Emilia began their career in 2008 as a Contract/Freelance Writer for Soomo Publishing, where they wrote scripts and song lyrics for educational videos. Emilia played a significant role in building Soomo Publishing's YouTube channel, attracting over 7,000 subscribers. Emilia then joined The Pedestal Magazine as a Contributing Writer, contributing to the publication from October 2011 to December 2013. In 2012, they became a Contributing Writer for Edible Charlotte, focusing on Charlotte's food culture.

Emilia's passion for writing led their to UNC Charlotte, where they served as an Adjunct Instructor in the University Writing Program from August 2013 to May 2015. Following their time at UNC Charlotte, they pursued freelance work as a writer, editor, and learning voice expert under the name Ghostwriter from May 2015 to May 2019. Emilia then joined Golden Hippo as a Copywriter from July 2019 to January 2022.
