Juliana Pignataro

Juliana Pignataro is a seasoned journalism professional with extensive experience in various roles, currently serving as the Director of Distribution at Citizen since February 2024 and as the Founder & Writer of Reader's Block since March 2022. Previously, Pignataro held significant positions such as Breaking News Chief at The Messenger and News Director at Newsweek, where responsibilities included managing digital newsrooms and increasing audience engagement. Pignataro has also been instrumental in launching Newsweek Next and led a breaking news team at Newsweek. With a background in broadcast and digital journalism, Pignataro has contributed to several media outlets, including 12 Media KXII Television and MLB Network, earning an Emmy Award for exceptional work. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts, both in Broadcast Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
