Hendrik Jan Roel

Hendrik Jan Roel serves as the CFO of citizenM hotels and is a member of the Executive Board since May 2022. Concurrently, Hendrik Jan is involved in several supervisory roles including Chair of the Supervisory Board at GS1 Nederland and the Van Gogh Museum, as well as a member of the Audit Committees at both organizations. From 2008 to 2022, Hendrik Jan held various senior positions at Ahold Delhaize, including CFO of Albert Heijn and Executive Vice President Finance. Earlier career experience includes a managerial role at Albert Heijn, audit management at Arthur Andersen & Co., and co-founding Business Supporting Facilities B.V. Hendrik Jan holds a drs/MA in Business Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and has completed executive education programs at Stanford and Harvard Business Schools.
