David Kunhardt

David Kunhardt is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in finance and community investments, particularly within the renewable energy sector. Currently a volunteer for Citizens' Climate Lobby and Climate Action since 2013 and 2007, respectively, David also served as CEO of SolEd Benefit Corp from 2012 to 2020, focusing on providing cost-effective solar solutions for schools and municipalities. Previous roles include Director of Finance at NRG Energy and VP of Structured Finance at Solar Power Partners, where significant achievements were made in securing financing for solar projects. Earlier, David held the position of Director of Investor Relations at RBC Apollo Equity Partners and Sr. VP of Community Investments at AEGON, where a strong track record in affordable housing investment was established. David holds a BA in Political Science and Government from Middlebury College, graduating Cum Laude, and furthered education at The George Washington University.
