Sylvia Neely has extensive experience in leadership and advocacy, currently serving as the Co-Leader of the State College chapter of Citizens' Climate Lobby since 2015. In addition, Sylvia has been a member of Interfaith Human Services, Inc. since October 2011, holding roles such as Chair of the Board of Directors and previously Vice-Chair. From September 2010 to November 2013, Sylvia served as both Co-Secretary and President of the Board of Directors for Pennsylvania Interfaith Power & Light, contributing to efforts addressing climate change within religious communities. Prior to these roles, Sylvia retired as an Associate Professor of History from Penn State University after 13 years of service. Educationally, Sylvia holds a Ph.D. in European History from the University of Notre Dame, an MA in French from New York University, and a BA in French from Duke University.
