Katharine Steele is an experienced educator with a diverse teaching background in English Language Arts across multiple grade levels, currently working at Citizens of the World Charter Schools since February 2018, serving as a 7th & 8th Grade English Language Arts Teacher, 6th Grade English Language Arts Teacher, 5th Grade Lead Teacher, and 1st Grade Lead Teacher. Prior to this role, Katharine held positions at Da Vinci Schools as an Independent Study Teacher for Grades 3-5 and at Brooklyn Prospect Charter School as a 3rd Grade Resident Teacher. Additionally, Katharine has experience as a private tutor from May 2009 to June 2016. Academically, Katharine holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Mount Saint Mary's University, a Master of Science in Childhood Education and Teaching from Hunter College, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature and Art History from New York University.
