Andrew Barszczyk, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of medical writing, research, and consulting.

Andrew is currently working as a Medical Writer at The Curry Rockefeller Group, LLC since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Medical Writer and Associate Medical Writer at Caudex | An IPG Health Company from 2021 to 2023.

From 2017 to 2021, Andrew worked at NuraLogix Corporation as a Chief Physiologist and as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Andrew also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Toronto during the same period.

In 2016, they worked as a Consultant at University Consulting Group.

Andrew also served as a Secretary (Conference Organizer) at China-Canada-USA Pharmacology/Physiology Conference in 2017.

From 2009 to 2016, Andrew worked at the University of Toronto in various roles. Andrew was a Doctoral Researcher where they made significant contributions in reducing damage after brain injury. Andrew also worked as a Teaching Assistant, where they presented lab material and developed electronic lab content. Additionally, they served as an Outreach Coordinator, overseeing student and community-run outreach events.

In 2008, they worked as a Master's Researcher at University Health Network.

Andrew Barszczyk, PhD, attended the University of Toronto from 2004 to 2008, completing a HBSc in the Neuroscience Specialist Program. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Toronto, earning an MSc in Physiology (Neuroscience) from 2008 to 2010. Andrew continued their studies at the same institution, completing their PhD in Physiology (Neuroscience) from 2010 to 2016.

In addition to their academic degrees, Andrew Barszczyk has obtained several certifications. In 2007, they completed a Short Course on Animal Care (Rodent Modules, Anaesthetic and Surgical Techniques) offered by the Division of Comparative Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. In 2008, they obtained a Research Safety Certificate from the University Health Network. In 2013, they obtained a Laboratory Biosafety and WHMIS Certificate from the Office of Environmental Health and Safety at the University of Toronto. Finally, in 2016, they completed the Mentorship Foundations program offered by the University of Toronto.
