Jena van Gerwen

Jena Van Gerwen is a City Planner Associate at the City and County of Denver since March 2023, previously serving as a Planner I at Boulder County from March 2022 to March 2023. With experience that includes roles such as Field Survey Technician with the U.S. Forest Service and Recruitment and Diversity Graduate Assistant at CU Boulder, Jena has developed a strong foundation in environmental planning and management. Jena's work includes significant projects such as a comprehensive population survey for the endangered Chorro Creek Bog Thistle and contributions to various environmental initiatives through ECOSLO. Jena holds a Master's degree in Sustainable Planning and Management from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management and Protection from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
