Juan David Lopez

Juan David Lopez, MD, is a Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist with extensive experience in outpatient psychiatric services for both adults and children, currently working at Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group and the City and County of San Francisco. Lopez has held academic positions, including Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, where contributions to counseling and psychological services were made. A previous Education Chief during a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Stanford, Lopez has also been involved with the American Psychiatric Association as a SAMHSA Minority Fellow, focusing on minority mental health and health disparities. Professional training includes a Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research from the California Institute of Integral Studies, along with an MD from Florida State University. Lopez has engaged in various public health initiatives, including epidemiological research on childhood obesity at the CDC and leadership training through the Paul Ambrose Scholars Program.
