Meron Foster

Meron Foster is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in protocol, program management, and nonprofit leadership. Currently serving as Senior Protocol Officer at the San Francisco Mayor's Office of Protocol since September 2020, Foster previously held the position of Program Associate at The James Irvine Foundation, overseeing the management and processing of over 400 grants worth $153 million across multiple initiatives. Prior roles include Ambassador Coordinator at Selamta Family Project, where Foster designed a business model to support at-risk Ethiopian families, and internships at the United States Senate and Human Capital Institute, contributing to legislative research and client acquisition efforts, respectively. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree from Mills College and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from San Francisco State University.
