Armando Avila is a seasoned professional in the commercial banking sector with over 20 years of experience, predominantly in the El Paso community. Currently serving as Senior Vice President at WestStar Bank since April 2001, Armando joined the bank's commercial lending team shortly after earning a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. Armando furthered education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at El Paso while working as a credit analyst. Previous roles include Vice President and Residential Construction Lender at El Paso Affordable Housing from 2003 to 2009, along with experience as a Lecturer/Trainer at Invesco from 1999 to 2001.
