City Bureau
Maureen Dunne is a dedicated fact checker and reporter with experience in various journalism roles. Maureen's background includes work with South Side Weekly, The Harvey World Herald, and City Bureau. Additionally, Maureen has a strong musical background as a cellist and gig booker with the Academy Of Irish Music. Maureen's education includes a Bachelor's of Arts in Journalism from DePaul University, as well as a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

OUR MISSION Founded in 2015, City Bureau is a nonprofit civic journalism lab based in Woodlawn on the South Side of Chicago. We bring journalists and community members together in a collaborative spirit to produce equitable media coverage, encourage civic participation and hold powerful forces to account. OUR VISION City Bureau envisions a future in which all people are equipped with the tools and knowledge to effect change in their communities.
