City Eye Hospital
City Eye Hospital is a social venture headquartered in Nairobi that provides quality and affordable eye care. Our primary goal is to eliminate preventable blindness in the East African region by improving the accessibility of eye care, both in terms of location and price. Since our inception in 2015, we have achieved remarkable success, increasing the number of patients seen annually at City Eye Hospital more than sevenfold. Through the City Eye Foundation, we are supporting the effort to eradicate preventable blindness throughout East Africa. By funding community outreach programs, we have provided free health services to more than 80,000 people from communities, performed more than 4,000 cataract surgeries, and delivered more than 6,000 early interventions to people at risk of going blind.
