Melody O'Conor

Melody O'Conor has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Melody most recently worked as the Chief of Staff at City Fund starting in September 2020. Prior to that, they held the same position at KIPP St. Louis from August 2018 to August 2020, where they also served as the Director of School Operations from June 2016 to August 2018. Additionally, Melody was a Broad Resident at The Broad Center for the Management of School Systems from June 2016 to August 2018, focusing on improving educational systems. Melody also had an internship as an MBA Summer Intern at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in 2015. Melody held two roles at Teach For America, serving as the Chief of Staff for National Development from August 2013 to July 2014 and Manager of Strategy for National Development from October 2012 to July 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Stroud Consulting from July 2011 to July 2012, Consultant from December 2009 to July 2011, and Associate Consultant from April 2009 to December 2009. Melody also had consulting experience at Kurt Salmon as a Consultant from July 2008 to April 2009. In addition, they worked as a Risk Arbitrage Analyst at Tiedemann Investment Group for a few months in 2007 and had a summer internship as a Marketing Intern at FTN Midwest Securities Corp in 2006.

Melody O'Conor attended Columbia University from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Subsequently, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business from 2014 to 2016.
