Widad Farah

Widad Farah is an experienced professional in the food and nutrition sector, currently serving as a Community Volunteer at City Harvest since July 2022, where responsibilities include rescuing and delivering nutritious produce to various clients. Prior to this role, Widad was a member of the Board of Directors and President of the PTA at RAZI SCHOOL from September 2017 to December 2021, effectively managing fundraising efforts and policy approvals. Additional experience includes serving as a School Food Service Manager for the NYC Department of Education, a Research Scientist at the Agriculture Research Corporation/Food Research Center, and a Lecturer at Alzaim Alazhari University. Widad's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport and a Master's degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of Khartoum, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology from Sudan University of Science and Technology.
