Marc Baskin, CPA

Marc Baskin, CPA is a seasoned professional with over 13 years of experience in accounting, finance, strategy and operations consulting. Marc began their career in 2010 as a consultant for Digikist, providing financial and operational expertise focused on technology and digital media organizations. In 2013, they co-founded inControl Ads, Inc., a advertising technology platform, where they were responsible for financing, operations and administration. Marc also helped raise funds through the product viability stage.

In 2015, Marc joined FlexWage Solutions as Vice President of Finance and Operations; Chief Compliance Officer. Marc was responsible for providing financial empowerment solutions to employers of lower and middle income workers. In 2016, they became an Adjunct Professor teaching 'Entrepreneurial Mindset' at Montclair State University. In 2017, they were a Mentor for Stevens Institute Senior CS Students at Linxist and an Accounting, Finance, Strategy and Operations Consulting for Blockchain Companies at Cryptokist.

In 2019, Marc joined Sysco as Controller / Process Improvement. Marc was successful in focusing on Process Improvements and managed through difficulties of running operations at a food processing plant through CoViD environment, subsequent staff cuts and increased demands from headquarters. In 2021, they became a Board Member at FameFeed and Founding Member, CoS Mastermind Network at Primary Venture Partners. Most recently, Marc joined City Hive, Inc. as Controller, a cutting-edge SaaS and eCommerce platform focused on the liquor industry.

Marc Baskin, CPA has an extensive educational background. Marc began their education in 1984 at Morristown-Beard Preparatory School, followed by Morris Knolls from 1986 to 1989. Marc then attended The College of New Jersey, graduating with a BS in Accounting Major and Math Minor in 1993. In 2018, they obtained two certifications from the Blockchain Council, Certified Cryptocurrency Expert and Certified Blockchain Expert. Finally, in 2020 they obtained a Master of Business Administration - MBA (non-accredited) in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from ThePower Business School. In 1995, they also obtained a Certified Public Accountant certification from the New Jersey Society of CPAs.
