Malak Obaidi

Malak Obaidi has a diverse work experience in media and education. Malak currently holds the role of Head of Media Studies at City & Islington College, where they started in July 2022. In 2021, they worked as a Freelance Television Presenter for Islam Channel and as a Presenter & Host for Muslim Hands. From 2019 to 2022, they were a Media Studies Teacher at City and Islington College. Prior to that, they worked as a Presenter & Show Producer for Women's Radio Station from 2017 to 2019 and as a Presenter & Filmmaker for Travellesz Channel from 2015 to 2019. Malak also gained experience as a Secondary PGCE Graduate (Media with English) at Goldsmiths, University of London from 2018 to 2019. Earlier in their career, Malak worked as a Tutor at Explore Learning from 2015 to 2019, where they taught Maths and English to children aged 5 to 14. Additionally, they served as a Supply Teacher at Raha International School from April to August 2018 and as a Radio Presenter for Wired Radio from 2015 to 2018.

Malak Obaidi's education history includes completing a Secondary PGCE (Media with English) degree at Goldsmiths, University of London from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, Malak obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Media and Communications from the same university from 2015 to 2018. In addition, Malak has an additional certification in ICDL - International Computers Driving Licence, obtained from the College of the North Atlantic - Qatar in August 2011.
