Michael Speaker

Michael Speaker is currently the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at City National Bank. Prior to this, they served as Deputy General Counsel, SVP at Fifth Third Bank where they were in charge of legal groups for Capital Markets, Wealth and Asset Management, and Commercial business lines. Michael has also worked as Counsel at Ashurst and CapitalSource.

At City National Bank, Michael is responsible for all aspects of the legal department including litigation, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and contracts. Michael provides strategic legal advice to the executive management team and Board of Directors on a variety of matters.

Michael earned their J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and their B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Michael Speaker has a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law and a BA in Government from the University of Notre Dame.
