Velu Rengasamy

Velu Rengasamy has extensive experience in the field of application development and digital strategy. Velu currently serves as the Managing Director of Digital Strategy and Operational Systems at City National Rochdale since April 2020. Previously, they held multiple leadership positions at Oaktree Capital Management, including Managing Director - Head of Application Development and Senior Vice President - Head of Application Development. In these roles, they were responsible for designing and delivering high availability systems, managing budgets, and leading teams of architects, developers, and project managers to provide custom solutions and improve operational efficiency. Earlier in their career, Velu worked at Countrywide Securities Corporation as a Senior Vice President - Application Development, where they led the creation of middle office technology systems and implemented financial and risk monitoring solutions. Velu began their career at Microsoft as a Senior Technical Consultant and worked as a Programmer at Ramco Systems.

Velu Rengasamy holds a Master of Computer Applications degree in Computer Science from PSG College of Technology. Velu also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Bharathiar University. In addition, they have certifications in AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Executive Data Science from Coursera, and PMP from the Project Management Institute. Velu also has a certification in Foundations of Everyday Leadership from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
