Mark Hartney

Mark Hartney has extensive experience in community and economic development, currently serving as Deputy Director for the City of Allentown's Department of Community and Economic Development since June 2022. Previously, Mark held similar positions, including Deputy Director and Community and Economic Development Administrator in Northampton County from December 2014 to June 2022, and Senior Planner for the City of Allentown from January 2010 to December 2014. Additional roles include Project Manager at Victory Square Brewery, Project Director and Borough Business Revitalization Program Coordinator for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and Planner at Taggart Associates. Mark holds a B.A. in Geography from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and has a background that includes significant involvement in historic preservation and environmental review compliance.
