Sonya Cates, CCM, CCII, has extensive experience in court administration and consulting, currently serving as Court Administrator for the City of Alvin since August 2014. Previously, Sonya held the position of Court Consultant for the City of Arcola from November 2021 to April 2022, and served as Juvenile Court Coordinator at La Porte Municipal Court from August 2014 to April 2022. Sonya also worked as a Court Consultant for the City of Galena Park between March 2019 and March 2020, and as Sr. Deputy Clerk/Juvenile Case Coordinator for the City of La Porte from May 2007 to August 2014. Education includes training from Galena Park and the National Center for State Courts.
