Adam vander Leest

Adam Vander Leest has extensive experience in fire services, currently serving as Division Chief for the City of Ankeny since June 2011. Previously, Adam held the position of Fire Captain within the Ankeny Fire Department from January 2022 to October 2023 and served as Division Chief/Fire Marshal at the same department. Adam began a career in firefighting and emergency medical services as a Firefighter/Paramedic at Polk City Fire Department from February 2004 to January 2019. Academically, Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Fire Services Administration from Western Illinois University and an Associate of Arts in Aviation/Airway Management and Operations from Iowa Central Community College.
