Carissa Ebling

Carissa Ebling is a dedicated professional specializing in sustainability and energy efficiency, currently serving as the Sustainability and Innovations Energy Coordinator for the City of Ann Arbor since January 2023. In this role, Carissa contributes to the city's objective of achieving community-wide carbon neutrality by 2030. Previously, Carissa worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Shive-Hattery, designing sustainable systems for various sectors and promoting sustainability initiatives at the Cedar Rapids office. Earlier experience includes an internship at PAE, focusing on energy-efficient designs for LEED and Net-Zero buildings, and research positions at the University of Iowa, where Carissa explored sustainable alternatives in agriculture and renewable energy. Carissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, with honors, from the University of Iowa, emphasizing energy efficiency and sustainability.
