Derek Delacourt is an experienced community service professional with extensive expertise in urban planning and economic development. Since March 2016, Derek has served as the Community Service Area Administrator for the City of Ann Arbor, overseeing multiple areas including Parks & Recreation, Greenbelt Acquisition, and Affordable Housing Units. Prior to this role, Derek was the Community & Economic Development Director for the City of Ferndale from March 2011 to March 2016, managing economic development activities and building department operations. Derek's earlier experience includes serving as Deputy Director of Planning & Economic Development and in various planning roles at the City of Rochester Hills, as well as working as a Transportation Planner at SEMCOG. Derek holds a Master of Public Administration from Oakland University and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban & Regional Planning from Eastern Michigan University.
