Dharma Akmon

Dharma Akmon currently serves as the Managing Director at the Institute for Research on Innovation and Science since September 2023 and has been a City Council Member for the City of Ann Arbor since November 2022. Prior roles include Director of Product Management and Director of Project Management and User Support at ICPSR, and Managing Director of SEAD from March 2016 to September 2023. Dharma was Platform Manager at ProQuest and Manager of Education and Outreach for the SEAD DataNet Project at the University of Michigan, contributing to sustainability science data management. Additional experience includes consultancy for the Brandon Center Digital Archive, Project Manager for a digitization project, and various roles at JSTOR focusing on user interface design and quality control. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Information from the University of Michigan, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in History from Michigan State University.
