Hillary Hanzel, RLA, LEED AP, serves as a Board Member on the Michigan State University Landscape Architecture Alumni Advisory Board since May 2024 and has been a Landscape Architect and Park Planner with the City of Ann Arbor since March 2017. Prior experience includes roles as an Associate Landscape Architect and Urban Designer at SmithGroupJJR from July 2008 to March 2017, contributing to significant projects such as the Little Caesars Arena and the I-375 Alternatives Study. Earlier positions include a Student Assistant to the Campus Planner at Michigan State University and a Landscape Architect Intern at Hamilton Anderson Associates. Hillary Hanzel holds a Master of Landscape Architecture with a focus on Urban Design from the University of Michigan (2015-2017) and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Michigan State University (2003-2008).
