Stephen (Simi) Barr is an experienced professional in energy efficiency and sustainability, currently serving as a Senior Analyst at the City of Ann Arbor since January 2020, where responsibilities include leading energy efficiency and decarbonization programs. With a background in advancing municipal carbon neutrality initiatives, Stephen also contributes as a Board Member for the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority. Previous roles include Fellow at CRANE, focusing on emissions reduction technologies, and research internships at the University of Michigan's Center for Sustainable Systems. Stephen holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Systems and a Master of Engineering in Space Systems Engineering, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology and Environmental Science from Miami University.
