Tina Stephens serves as a Board Member at Washtenaw Literacy since June 2023 and has been the Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator for the City of Ann Arbor since September 2008, overseeing a staff of 4-6 and managing around 2000 volunteers annually. Responsibilities include coordinating a controlled burn program, managing natural resource activities, and participating in regional festival planning. Previously, Tina held various roles, including Adopt-A-Park Coordinator, GS-04 Visitor Use Assistant at the National Park Service, Outdoor Environmental Education Program Educator at YMCA Storer Camps, and Assistant Program Director at Camp Taiwan. Tina’s early career includes an Outdoor Recreation Internship with the US Navy MWR in Japan, an Interpretive Program Internship at Baxter State Park, and administrative roles at LACASA and Dunning Toyota. Tina holds a Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management with an emphasis in Outdoor and Adventure Education from Ferris State University.
