David Kress has a diverse work experience in the field of community and economic development. David started their career as a Planning Intern at the City of Madison in 2008. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Planner at the East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, where they actively contributed to various community development and transportation planning efforts. Since 2014, David has been associated with the City of Appleton Wisconsin, initially as a Principal Planner and currently as the Deputy Director of Community & Economic Development. In their current role, they are responsible for managing land use planning programs, leading a team in reviewing development projects, and maintaining positive relationships among stakeholders in the community.
David Kress completed their Bachelors of Science degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where they attended from 2004 to 2008. Afterward, they pursued a Masters of Science degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2008 to 2010.
