Dr. Nikkya Coleman Lewis serves as the Grants Manager for the City of Arlington since August 2021, bringing extensive experience from previous roles, including Senior Grants and Contracts Administrator at Georgetown University and Licensed Realtor with CENTURY 21 New Millennium. Prior to these positions, Dr. Lewis held various leadership roles at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, including Director of Extramural Funding & Human Resource Development, Director of Grants & Contracts, and Pre-Award Grants Manager. Early career experience includes serving as a Community Planning Consultant at CJ Wilson & Consultants and as a Community Organizer Intern with Citizen Action Coalition/Tennessee Healthcare Campaign. Dr. Lewis holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University and a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Alabama A&M University Graduate School.
