Eyvon McHaney has extensive work experience in human resources and civil service roles. Starting in 2010, Eyvon worked as an Assistant Program Manager at Aunt Martha's Youth Service Center, where they supervised staff and ensured the safety and well-being of residents. In 2012, Eyvon became a Human Resources Generalist at Franciscan Alliance, Inc., managing HR functions and implementing personnel policies. From 2016 to 2017, Eyvon worked at the University of Illinois at Chicago in labor/employee relations. In 2017, Eyvon joined the Illinois Housing Development Authority as an Assistant Director of Human Resources. Eyvon then transitioned to the City of Corpus Christi in 2020, initially as an Assistant Director of Human Resources before becoming the Director of Human Resources and Civil Service. Currently, Eyvon holds the position of Director of Human Resources and Civil Service at the City of Arlington since 2023.
Eyvon McHaney, MHRM, PHR, holds a Master of Human Resources Management (MHRM) degree from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, completed from 2011 to 2013. Eyvon also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, earned between 2003 and 2007. Furthermore, Eyvon has received professional certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in 2015.
