Kyle Fredin

Kyle Fredin has a diverse work experience. Kyle is currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at the City of Arvada since May 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a Security Operations Analyst at the same company from May 2021 to May 2023.

Before joining the City of Arvada, Kyle served as the General Manager Operations at Trill Therapeutics LLC from January 2014 to February 2019.

Additionally, they have also served in the United States Army as a Cryptologic Linguist from December 2004 to December 2009. During their time in the army, Kyle excelled in managing and mentoring a team, providing translation expertise to intelligence analysts, and receiving accolades such as Soldier of the Month and Quarter competitions, and two Army Achievement Medals.

Kyle Fredin completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Spanish Language and Literature at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2010 to 2013. Kyle then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Cybersecurity from Metropolitan State University of Denver between 2019 and 2020. Additionally, Kyle Fredin has acquired several certifications including the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February 2021, the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in January 2021, and various cyber-risk and cybersecurity certifications from LinkedIn in 2020.
