Steve Hunter, PE, PH, PhD Candidate, currently serves as the Utility Resource Manager for the City of Aspen, overseeing water and energy portfolio projects and analyzing data to provide forecasts and strategic recommendations. With extensive experience as a Civil Engineer and Hydrologist at the U.S. Forest Service, Steve was involved in post-wildfire stabilization efforts and led the Water Rights Program while also managing fisheries programs. Prior roles included Project Engineer for the City of Aspen and Ski Patrolman for Aspen Skiing Company. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources from Oregon State University and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Wyoming, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Systems Engineering at Colorado State University.
