Austin Wagner currently serves as Deputy Chief of Staff for the City of Atlanta since January 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a City Council Member for the City of Smyrna, Georgia from January 2020 to February 2022 and working as a Political Strategist from April 2018 to January 2022. Wagner also held the position of Legislative Strategist for the Democratic Caucus at the Georgia General Assembly from January 2018 to April 2021. Additional roles encompass Campaigns Director for the Young Democrats of Georgia and various internships, including Senior Legal Intern and Legal Intern at the United States Sentencing Commission, as well as a Summer Intern at the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Alabama. Wagner holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Economics, International Business, and Political Science from Appalachian State University.
