Mohamed Balla

Mohamed Balla has an extensive career in financial management and administration. Mohamed currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Atlanta since July 2021. Prior to this, they held various roles within the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management, including CFO/Deputy Commissioner of Financial Administration, Interim Deputy Commissioner of Financial Administration, and Finance Director from 2012 to July 2021. Mohamed Balla earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Morehouse College in 2000. Mohamed later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance and Corporate Strategy at the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business from 2005 to 2007.
