Amy Palmer

Amy Palmer, AICP, currently serves as the Assistant City Manager and Community Development Director for the City of Auburndale, a position held since April 2012, where responsibilities include overseeing the growth and development of the city. Prior to this, Amy was the Chair of the Heart of Florida Section of the American Planning Association from September 2011 to September 2013, focusing on professional development for urban and regional planners. From April 2006 to May 2012, Amy worked as the Senior Business Development Manager for the Central Florida Development Council, leading business expansion and retention projects that resulted in significant capital investment and job creation. Earlier experience includes serving as the Community Development Director and City Planner for the City of Auburndale from June 2002 to April 2006. Amy holds a Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from Catawba College.
