Martha Paschke

Martha Paschke has a diverse work experience. Martha currently holds the position of Director of Innovation and Strategy at the City of Aurora. Prior to that, they served as a City Council Member for the City of Geneva, Illinois. Martha also worked as a Collaborative Diversion Coordinator at the KANE County States Attorney's Office. In addition, Martha has experience as a Doula at Fox Valley Doulas and as a Political Candidate. Martha has worked as a Patient Intake Coordinator at David Goodman, Ph.D. Psychologist Associates and as a Social Studies Teacher at Y115. Furthermore, Martha worked as a Substitute Teacher at Geneva CUSD #304 and St. Charles Community Unit School District 303, where they also served as a Student Teacher. Lastly, they worked as a Curriculum Writing Consultant at Shmoop, where they focused on writing 5th grade social studies units.

Martha Paschke completed a Certificate in Public Policy Analysis at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2023. Prior to that, they earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Aurora University in 2011. Martha'sBachelor's Degree was obtained from Concordia University-St. Paul in 2001, with a focus on Psychology and Family Studies. Martha completed their high school education at St. Peters Lutheran College in Brisbane, Australia between 1996 and 1999. Martha also briefly attended St. Olaf College in 1997 and 1998, where they transferred their studies in Social Work. In addition to their formal education, Martha obtained a Professional Educators License from the Illinois State Board of Education in January 2012. Furthermore, they have additional certifications in Public Policy Analysis from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Teaching K-9 with Middle School Social Studies Endorsement from the Illinois State Board of Education.
