Burton Fitzsimmons

Burton Fitzsimmons is an experienced media professional with a diverse background in broadcasting and operations management. Currently serving as the ATXN Station Manager for the City of Austin since January 2023, Burton oversees the operations and production for the city's government channel. Prior to this role, Burton worked as an Operations Manager at Tata Consultancy Services, managing a Video On Demand service desk team for YouTube TV/Google. Burton's extensive career at Spectrum spanned over 18 years as the Chief Meteorologist, where daily weather forecasts were prepared and presented to a vast audience. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Meteorologist for Time Warner Cable, where training and content development for new channels were key responsibilities. Burton holds a Bachelor of Science in Radio-TV-Film from The University of Texas at Austin and a Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
