Dana Kadavy

Dana Kadavy is an experienced professional in the field of forensic science and microbiology, currently serving as the Director of the Austin Forensic Science Department. Previously, Dana held the position of Executive Director of the Forensic Science Bureau at the City of Austin Police Department. Dana's academic experience includes a role as Temporary Faculty at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and extensive leadership at Signature Science, LLC, as Director of Biological Sciences. Prior expertise also includes serving as Chief of Bacteriology in the Department of Parasitic and Infectious Diseases at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. Dana Kadavy earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
