Denise Lucas

Denise Lucas, MBA, C.P.M., has extensive experience in leadership roles within various organizations, currently serving as the Director and previously as Interim Director and Deputy Director of the Development Services Department for the City of Austin since April 2010. Responsibilities include oversight of the Building Permit Plan Review and Inspections Divisions, as well as the Site/Subdivision and Environmental Inspections Divisions. Earlier roles include Deputy Chief Information Officer, managing a diverse team and budget for business applications, and Deputy Purchasing Officer, where management of contract services involved a team of 33 FTEs. Prior experience includes National Procurement Manager at Littler Mendelson, where Lucas established a procurement program during significant growth, and Supply Base Procurement Manager at Advanced Micro Devices, focusing on global corporate services.
