Edwin Marty is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in food policy and agriculture. Since April 2014, Marty has served as the Food Policy Manager for the City of Austin. Previous roles include Executive Director at EAT South, where Marty developed urban farming initiatives and educational programs, and Executive Director at Jones Valley Teaching Farm, overseeing extensive urban and peri-urban farm operations and educational outreach. Marty has also contributed as an Urban Agriculture Consultant for The American Institute of Architects, providing strategic assessments on sustainable land use. Early career experiences include serving as Garden Editor for Southern Living Magazine and leading outdoor courses with Outward Bound School. Marty holds a BA in Anthropology from the University of Oregon and has studied at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
