Jason McCombs

Jason McCombs is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental conservation and project management. Currently serving as the Division Manager for Austin Resource Recovery since October 2012, McCombs leads initiatives related to solid waste services, zero waste policy development, and strategic planning. Key achievements include managing the public information team during Winter Storm Mara, developing Austin's first multi-family compost access ordinance, and overseeing the creation of the 2023 Zero Waste Comprehensive Plan. Prior to this role, McCombs gained valuable experience as a project manager and designer at Trim Tech of Austin and as an architectural project manager at O'Connell Robertson, contributing to significant projects in healthcare, education, and sports facilities across Texas. McCombs holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Texas Tech University.
