Jolsna Thomas

Jolsna Thomas serves as the Chair and Commissioner of the Firefighter’s, Police Officers’ & EMS Personnel's Civil Service Commission for the City of Austin, overseeing personnel regulations under Texas Local Government Code. In addition, Jolsna holds the position of Vice Chair on the Construction Advisory Committee, focusing on compliance in municipal construction contracts. With a robust background in business development and legal representation, notable roles have included President of The Rosendin Foundation, where strategic philanthropic initiatives were executed, and Business Development Manager for Rosendin, securing substantial construction projects. Jolsna's experience extends to serving as Secretary/Treasurer and Board Member of Austin Convention Enterprises Inc., advocating for Texas educators at the Texas State Teachers Association, and providing legal counsel within several labor organizations.
