Michael Lacy

Michael Lacy is a seasoned professional in event planning and production, currently serving as a Senior Planner for the City of Austin since February 2023, where responsibilities include coordinating public events and developing city projects. Lacy's extensive freelance experience as a Technical Director and Videographer spans over a decade, providing services for live events, film shoots, and conferences. Previous roles include Event Planner for Girl Scouts of Central Texas, Brand Advocate for Distillery 291, Creative Director for I Live Here I Give Here's 2021 live stream, and Production Director at Liquidation Channel, showcasing expertise in live broadcasting and event execution. Lacy has also held project management positions at Atomic Picnic and Ideal Productions, contributed as a Camera Operator for SXSW, and supported major corporate events. Lacy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Business from the University of Colorado Boulder.
