Ramesh Swaminathan

Ramesh Swaminathan, P.E., currently serves as the Assistant Director and Managing Engineer for the City of Austin, a position held since December 2008, where responsibilities include leading the Waller Creek Flood Mitigation program, focusing on flood abatement, water quality, and erosion. Previous roles include Supervising Engineer for Austin Water overseeing major wastewater treatment facilities, and Senior Project Manager at AECOM specializing in water and wastewater treatment project management. Earlier experience includes Project Manager at CH2M HILL and Process Engineer positions at Lurgi, Inc. and Cipla. Ramesh Swaminathan holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from both the University of Rhode Island and Brown University, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology.
